| The CDT-10LP system consist of: 2 1" silk dome high powered "image enhancement" neodymium tweeters 2 surface mounts 2 flush mounts 1 high powered attenuator control unit Hers is how the CDT-10LP system works: The CDT Audio Attenuator Image Enhancement System is supplied pre wired. The system is connected in parallel to the crossovers of your existing system tweeters. The "image enhancement" tweeters come with both flush and surface mounts. The CDT-10LP system comes in a box with all mounting hardware necessary and a detailed installation manual. The attenuator wires labeled ²INPUT² should go to the CROSSOVER connected in the polarity shown to the corresponding polarity markings on the right and left crossover¹s connectors. Two crossovers and two tweeters are supported with this device. The attenuator wires labeled ³OUTPUT² should go to the "image enhancement" tweeters and be connected in the polarity shown to the corresponding polarity markings on the right and left tweeter¹s connectors. Rotate the main control knob fully clockwise to begin. Gradually turn the control counter-clockwise until the high frequency balance blends well with the midrange-woofer speaker. Low mounting of the tweeter require more output and close-up in dash mountings of the tweeters - less output. The further away the mid-woofer is compared to the tweeter the more attenuation may be desirable. Adjust with the tone controls set flat. Then use the controls for different sources as desired. The best source such as Compact Disk should be used to derive the best setting. Remember it is critical to maintain correct polarity in your entire system to achieve good results. Mount the speakers with care and precaution. Call CDT Audio tech support should you have any questions. 1-877-568-3238 |
